iPhone 17 Air: the thinnest model in Apple's history

Although there are no official data yet, the strongest rumors agree on several key details of the iPhone 17 Air.

 

What do we know so far?

Ultra-thin Design

Everything suggests it will be the thinnest iPhone so far. It will have a lighter body, with curved edges and a redesigned aluminum chassis. The focus will be on achieving an elegant, comfortable, and visually distinct device unlike anything before.

 

6.6” Display

It would be a midpoint between the iPhone 17 and the Pro Max. More screen, but without becoming uncomfortable. Ideal for those who want something lightweight yet with a good visual experience.

 

Powerful Chip without the “Pro”

It is expected to feature the same chip as the rest of the lineup (possibly the A19) manufactured on a 3-nanometer process, with a 20% performance increase over the previous model, the A18.

Additionally, it will have 8 GB of RAM, more than enough for smooth usage and compatible with Apple Intelligence, but lacking some premium features like ProMotion or advanced cameras. It may not be the most powerful, but it will be very fluid for daily use.

 

More Efficient Battery

Being thinner, it's logical that there is less space for a large battery. However, Apple would be working on improving the overall system efficiency to maintain good autonomy, without the need for a large battery.

 

New Colors and Plenty of Design

This model targets those who prioritize style: new colors, premium finishes, and a more refined aesthetic. Apple would be betting on making the Air a “design-focused” iPhone rather than one for technology enthusiasts.
