Accessibility Statement
Last updated: 23 June 2026
At Silikode (silikode.com) we want everyone to be able to access our content, regardless of their abilities or the technology they use. This statement describes our commitment to accessibility, the standard we follow and how to report any barrier to us.
Standard we follow
We work to make Silikode conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA, published by the W3C. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities (visual, auditory, motor and cognitive).
Conformance status
Silikode is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 AA: we apply most of the criteria, but some parts of the site may not yet fully meet them. Accessibility is an ongoing process and we keep working to improve it.
Measures we apply
- Semantic structure: we use semantic HTML and a consistent heading hierarchy to make navigation with screen readers easier.
- Alternative text: the editor allows and encourages describing every image and video with alternative text, which is published for assistive technologies.
- Keyboard navigation: the main features can be operated with the keyboard, with a skip-to-content link at the top of every page and a visible focus indicator on interactive elements.
- Contrast: text, links and buttons meet the minimum WCAG 2.1 AA (4.5:1) contrast against the background, in both light and dark themes.
- Declared language: every page declares its language (
es/en) so assistive technologies interpret it correctly. - Reduced motion: we respect the system's
prefers-reduced-motionpreference; if you have it enabled, we keep animations and transitions to a minimum.
Known limitations
Despite our efforts, some content may present accessibility barriers:
- Third-party content: embedded YouTube videos and affiliate store pages (Amazon, Mercado Libre) depend on the accessibility of those services, which is beyond our control.
- Community content: comments, setups and other user contributions may not always include alternative text or a fully accessible format.
- Improvements in progress: some interactive components are still under review.
How to report accessibility issues
If you find an accessibility barrier or need content in an alternative format, write to us at admin@silikode.com describing the problem and, if possible, the page where it happened. We treat these reports as a priority and respond as soon as we can.
Updates to this statement
We review this statement periodically as we improve the site. We will publish any changes on this same page and update the date shown above.
