At Silikode (silikode.com) we take the protection of your personal data seriously. This Privacy Policy explains what data we process, for what purpose, on what legal basis, who we share it with, and how you can exercise your rights.

Processing is governed by Argentina's Personal Data Protection Act No. 25.326 and the rules of the Agency for Access to Public Information (AAIP). If you visit us from another region, we recognize the equivalent rights granted to you by the regulations applicable in your place of residence.
What data we process
- Account data: when you register, your email address and name or nickname; optionally, your bio, avatar and language preferences. If you sign up with Google, GitHub or Apple, we receive the basic data those providers share.
- Content you create: comments, setups, ratings and other content you publish on the site.
- Interaction data: saved articles, likes, favorite brands and price alerts you set up.
- Browsing data: IP address, device and browser type, approximate country and pages visited, collected in aggregate for statistical purposes.

Who we share your data with
To operate Silikode we work with providers that act as data processors and only process your data according to our instructions:
- Supabase — authentication, database and file storage.
- Vercel — site hosting.
- OpenAI — automated comment moderation, content translation and recommendations. When you post a comment, its text is sent to this service to detect inappropriate content.
- Google (Analytics 4) — audience measurement.
- Upstash (Redis) — view counting.
- Amazon and Mercado Libre — only when you click an affiliate link; in that case, those stores receive data according to their own policies.
We do not sell your personal data.
International transfers
Some of these providers process data on servers located outside Argentina (for example, in the United States). In those cases we adopt reasonable safeguards so that your data receives an adequate level of protection.
Retention
We keep your data while your account remains active or for as long as it is needed for the purposes described. You can delete your account and your data at any time from your profile settings, or by requesting it at legal@silikode.com; we will delete or anonymize your personal data, except for data we must retain by legal obligation.
Your rights
You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, update, deletion and objection over your personal data at any time. To do so, write to us at legal@silikode.com describing your request. You may also lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority for your region.
Minors
Silikode is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect data from people below that age. If we discover that we have collected a minor's data without the appropriate authorization, we will delete it.
Security
We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including row-level access control in the database and encryption in transit. No system is completely infallible; if a breach affecting your data were to occur, we will act in accordance with applicable regulations.
