iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max: Unlimited Power

Index
Apple introduced the new iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max, the most advanced models in the lineup. With a refined design, a revolutionary camera system, and the most powerful chip the company has ever created, the new Pro models establish themselves as professional tools for both demanding users and content creators.

Design and build
The new brushed aluminum unibody design is made from an aerospace-grade 7000-series aluminum alloy. This approach not only provides greater structural strength, but also the best thermal performance ever in an iPhone.
Integrating the rear module made it possible to increase internal space, enabling a larger battery. In addition, the antennas are carefully integrated around the device perimeter, delivering the most efficient connectivity system Apple has implemented to date.
For the first time, both the front and the back are protected by Ceramic Shield 2, which is more resistant to impacts and scratches.
Colors and finishes
The iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max arrive in a refined color palette: space black, starlight silver, deep blue, and natural titanium. All finishes retain the elegant matte look with brushed aluminum edges.

Super Retina XDR display
The iPhone 17 Pro comes in two sizes: 6.3 and 6.9 inches. Both versions feature the Super Retina XDR display with ProMotion technology up to 120 Hz, an always-on display, and a peak brightness of 3,000 nits, the highest ever achieved on an iPhone.
For the first time, both the front and the back are protected by Ceramic Shield 2, which is more resistant to impacts and scratches, with a new coating that reduces reflections and improves outdoor visibility.
Ceramic Shield 2 adds a new coating that reduces reflections and improves outdoor visibility.

The heart of the iPhone: the A19 Pro chip
The new A19 Pro is the most powerful chip ever seen in an iPhone. Its 6-core CPU and 6-core GPU, with neural accelerators in each unit, deliver up to 40% higher performance compared with the previous generation.
This chip works together with the 16-core Neural Engine, optimized for artificial intelligence and machine learning models, enabling AAA gaming experiences with hardware-accelerated ray tracing, as well as smooth performance in video editing and creative applications.

Cameras: professional photography and cinema in your pocket
The iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max offer Apple’s most ambitious camera system:
- Three 48 MP Fusion cameras, with larger sensors and processing enhanced by the Photonic Engine.
- New 48 MP telephoto camera with a tetraprism design and 4x optical zoom at 100 mm, along with an 8x optical zoom at 200 mm, the longest ever on an iPhone, designed for professional photography and greater creative versatility.
- Digital zoom up to 40x, with noise reduction and greater color accuracy thanks to integrated machine learning.
- New Photographic Styles, including Bright mode, which enhances skin tones and vibrant colors.
On the front, the new Center Stage camera takes the selfie and video call experience to another level:
- The first square sensor in an iPhone front camera.
- Photos up to 18 MP and ultra-stabilized 4K HDR recording.
- Dual Capture feature, which allows recording with the front and rear cameras simultaneously.
Thanks to these improvements, the new Pro models are not only the iPhones with the best camera system to date, but also establish themselves as professional tools for mobile photography and filmmaking.
Video: a film studio in your hands
The iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max continue to lead the industry with HDR video recording in Dolby Vision, 4K at 120 fps, ProRes Log, and ACES compatibility.
For the first time, Apple includes support for ProRes RAW, Log 2, and genlock, techniques used in professional film and television productions. These tools make it possible to synchronize multiple cameras and achieve more advanced workflows, taking content creation with iPhone to a new level.

Battery and fast charging
Thanks to the new unibody design and the efficiency of the A19 Pro chip, the Pro models include a larger battery that delivers the longest battery life ever in an iPhone.
The iPhone 17 Pro Max is the clear leader in battery life, ideal for users who need consistent performance throughout the day. In addition, both models support fast charging to 50% in just 20 minutes with Apple’s new 40 W dynamic USB-C power adapter.
A key point is the Apple-designed vapor chamber, integrated into the chassis and laser-welded with precision. This architecture dissipates heat evenly across the aluminum body, ensuring sustained performance without overheating, ideal for long editing sessions, gaming, or high-resolution video capture.

Connectivity and N1 chip
The new Pro models debut the N1 chip, designed by Apple to deliver Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, and Thread. This not only improves the speed and stability of wireless connections, but also optimizes features such as AirDrop, Personal Hotspot, and smart accessories.

iOS 26 and Apple Intelligence
Along with the hardware, the new Pro models debut iOS 26, with a more expressive design and features powered by Apple Intelligence. From live translation to new Visual Intelligence capabilities, the system is more deeply integrated with AI, always with a focus on privacy and on-device performance.
New accessories for the Pro models
Apple is pairing the new models with a collection of accessories:
- TechWoven cases, with scratch- and stain-resistant multicolor technical fabric.
- Silicone cases with MagSafe, available in six new colors.
- Clear case with additional scratch protection.
- Recycled crossbody strap, adjustable and available in ten colors, ideal for carrying the iPhone hands-free.

Price and availability
The iPhone 17 Pro starts at $1,099 USD, while the iPhone 17 Pro Max starts at $1,199 USD, both with 256 GB of base storage.
The devices are already available for pre-order in select markets and will arrive in physical and online stores in the coming days.
With this launch, Apple reaffirms that the Pro lineup is not just a smartphone, but a true professional tool capable of redefining photography, filmmaking, and mobile performance.
