Acer Aspire X 16: Arc B390, OLED display, and up to 24 hours of battery life

Index
The Acer Aspire X 16 AI is now listed for sale in the United States with an Intel Core Ultra X9 388H, integrated Arc B390 graphics, and a 120 Hz OLED display. Its 84 Wh battery comes with a promise of up to 24 hours, although the conditions published by Acer require looking beyond that figure.
Notebookcheck reported its availability on November 3, 2026. The laptop had been introduced by Acer on May 29, 2026: the November 3 report refers to its commercial availability in the United States.
16-inch OLED and integrated Arc B390
The AX16-I71M-969N configuration in the official store pairs the Core Ultra X9 388H with 16 GB of LPDDR5X memory and a 512 GB SSD. The Arc B390 uses shared memory; it is not a dedicated graphics card.

The OLED panel measures 16 inches, with a 2880 × 1800 resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate. Acer advertises 100% DCI-P3 coverage and DisplayHDR True Black 500 certification, in an aluminum chassis weighing about 1.6 kg and measuring up to 15.9 mm thick.

It includes two Thunderbolt 4 ports, HDMI 2.1, a microSD reader, and Wi-Fi 6E connectivity. The lineup was announced with up to 32 GB of RAM and 2 TB of storage, but those capacities do not apply to the cited U.S. configuration.

The 24-hour claim comes with a caveat
Acer’s current product page lists three in-house results for the AX16-I71M model with an 84 Wh battery:
The footnote identifies a WUXGA display, which is different from the 2880 × 1800 OLED panel in the unit being sold. However, the original May press release attributes those same results to a WQXGA+ panel. There is a discrepancy between two official documents.
For that reason, the 24-hour figure should be treated as a manufacturer claim whose test configuration needs clarification. The cited documentation also does not specify brightness, refresh rate, or the file used for video playback. It does not make it possible to confirm that result for the OLED version or extrapolate it to gaming or intensive workloads.
Against the MacBook Pro M6: the same maximum does not mean the same tests
The 14-inch MacBook Pro M6, introduced on October 27, 2026, also claims up to 24 hours. Apple attributes that to video streaming and states up to 16 hours of wireless web browsing, with a 72.4 Wh battery, according to its technical specifications.
Matching the maximum figure does not prove equivalent battery life. Acer refers to video playback, Apple to streaming, and their results come from internal tests with different configurations. Nor do Acer’s 19 hours of browsing versus Apple’s 16 prove a three-hour advantage under the same conditions.
Establishing that difference requires a common test, with comparable brightness, connection, and tasks.
Price and availability
As of November 4, 2026, Acer lists the AX16-I71M-969N in stock for US$1,649.99 in its U.S. store. That price corresponds to the OLED version with 16 GB and a 512 GB SSD.
Its combination of display, integrated graphics, and weight defines the proposition. The battery life of that configuration is still awaiting independent measurement, and Acer still needs to clarify the difference between its test notes.
