iPhone 17 Air: the thinnest model in Apple history

Index
Although there are still no official details, the strongest rumors agree on several key aspects of the iPhone 17 Air.
What do we know so far?
Ultra-thin design
Everything points to it being the thinnest iPhone yet. It would feature a lighter body, curved edges, and a redesigned aluminum chassis. The focus would be on delivering a device that feels elegant, comfortable, and visually different from anything that came before it.

6.6” display
It would sit between the iPhone 17 and the Pro Max. More screen space, but without becoming uncomfortable to use. Ideal for those who want something lightweight while still getting a strong visual experience.

Powerful chip, without the “Pro” extras
Everything suggests it would use the same chip as the rest of the lineup—possibly the A19—manufactured on a 3-nanometer process, with performance up to 20% higher than the previous model, the A18.
It would also include 8 GB of RAM, more than enough for smooth everyday use and compatibility with Apple Intelligence, but without some premium features such as ProMotion or advanced cameras. It may not be the most powerful model, but it should be very fluid for day-to-day use.
More efficient battery
Because it is thinner, it makes sense that there would be less room for a large battery. But Apple is reportedly working on improving overall system efficiency to maintain solid battery life without needing a massive battery.
New colors and a strong design focus
This model is aimed at users who prioritize style: new colors, premium finishes, and a more refined aesthetic. Apple would be positioning the Air as more of a “design-focused” iPhone than one built for tech enthusiasts.
